Our Heavenly Father, Grant us each day the desire to do our best, To grow mentally and morally as well as physically, To be kind and helpful to our classmates and teachers, To be honest with ourselves as well as with others, Help us to be good sports and smile when we lose as well as when we win, Teach us the value of true friendship, Help us always to conduct ourselves so as to bring credit to Cranston High School West. Amen |
This site is privately funded and will remain as a permanent reminder of the ethics, morals and the sense of community one person chose to show distain. The act was not of community but personal gain and selfishness which those words chose to challenge. In my opinion, this was not a prayer but a school creed. It spoke of the high standards of behavior we desired to be a part of our children's life. It was a code of ethics and a display of a fraternity. The words of 1963 are more relevant today than ever before. No person or small group can ever nor will ever silence this creed.
